The People Exhibit at the Zoo Lyrics

The People Exhibit at the Zoo

(c) 2013, Lyrics by Amy and Jason Didner, Music by Jason Didner

It’s Ten A.M., let’s open the gate
The gorillas and lions can barely wait
To see the creatures that fascinate them so

You gotta see all the colors they wear
Their attempts to tame their unruly hair
They hurry and push and stop and stare and go

When they pass by they try to roar and moo
We marvel at all the funny things they do

Chorus:
The people exhibit
No animal should miss it
The people exhibit at the zoo

Tell me why do they carry all those things
Like those shiny little boxes that chime and ring?
And the bags and bags and bags they bring – oh my!

They certainly are a noisy bunch
We hear them at the snack bar all through lunch
We hear them chatter and crunch at the same time

They have such wacky habits? Can you name a few?
We marvel at all the silly things they do

Chorus

They don’t act normal like a penguin or kangaroo
We marvel at all the zany things they do

Chorus (2x)

The People exhibit at the zoo
The People exhibit at the zoo
