Tomorrow – Sing-along with Jason in Brooklyn!

Tomorrow I’m leading the sing-along at Two Moon Art House and Café in Brooklyn, filling in for the insanely talented and personable Miss Nina, which is quite fitting after we had such a great time performing a few tunes together at one of her sing-alongs there last fall. Of course, my daughter loves to watch her weekly YouTube videos and was thrilled to see her live! Speaking of videos, here’s a special clip I put together for you – a brand new song called “Day at the Beach,” which I’ll perform for you on Friday.

Sing-along with Jason at Two Moon Brooklyn

Bring out your little ones and we’ll sing some children’s classics and the kids will learn some new dance moves and sing-along parts to the songs Amy and I wrote.

Admission is $10 per family. Families will be entered in a raffle to win a prize bundle including my CD and some fun items for kids!

Make it a playdate! Let your friends know on Facebook that you’re coming!

“Everyone’s Invited!” Album Reviews by Moms Highlight Kids’ Reactions

Jason Didner from the Jungle Gym Jam holding his CD Everyone's Invited! Our new album “Everyone’s Invited!” appears to have made a splash in the heart of its intended audience – kids! The reviews so far have put the spotlight on how kids are reacting and on the value of an album like this for kids and their grown-ups.

Teddy, the Multitask Momma, a parenting blogger in Ontario, Canada writes this:

“I think ‘Everyone’s Invited!’ by Jason Didner and the Jungle Gym Jam is an amazing CD that I know everyone’s child(ren) would enjoy,” said Teddy. “Not only because it is great music and has great stories to it but because it is so catchy and what kid doesn’t like to dance around to music about trains and animals.”

Read her whole review here.

C. Lee Reed at Helicopter Mom and Just Plane Dad in Florida had this to say about the new collection of songs:

“Counting, sharing, anti-bullying and exercise are all messages that your children will hear as they repeat the songs over and over. And trust me, they’ll want to listen to this CD over and over; it’s catchy.”

Check out C. Lee’s entire review here.

Nikki, a mom with Her 3 Little Thinkers blog, writes about the CD from the point of view that she looks for tools to help her toddler, who has siblings at least a decade older, learn to play with other kids. This is what she observed when she  played the album for him:

“When I put this in the CD player, my son was so excited. He absolutely loves music already so it was fun to him dancing around. He was trying to sing along even though it was the first time he’d ever heard it. 🙂

I have put the CD in my car to listen to on our ventures out and about.”

My favorite thing about a review of anyone’s creative work, especially my own, is the thoughtful consideration of the intended audience and how they might relate to it. This matters more to me than whether the review is positive. That both reviewers saw and heard value in what I created with Amy and with the band after having really paid attention to it feels super rewarding.
